Investigative DNA Testing Implementation

Investigative DNA Testing Implementation

← Back to Series

Overview

This webinar will discuss the technical and operational aspects of implementing forensic investigative DNA testing. DNA based prediction of physical appearance can provide investigators with useful leads when a DNA profile generates no hits.

Currently, forensic DNA profiling is focused on the identification of the donor of biological evidence retrieved from crime scenes. Identification of the donor is largely dependent on obtaining an informative DNA profile in conjunction with a match to a database or a reference profile. In cases where a match is not achieved, the use of the biological evidence in the investigation ceases in most laboratories.

A certificate of completion is available for all who register and attend this webinar.
